Jane Tecca
October 7, 1949 - December 23, 2009

Jane Tecca, 60, of Burlington died at 8:55 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born October 7, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant she was the daughter of John and Doris Eicher Roth. On August 17, 1991 she married Ron Tecca in Mt. Pleasant.

Mrs. Tecca was a 1967 graduate of WACO High School. She worked in a factory, cleaned homes, was a waitress and also worked at St. Francis Hospital. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose. She enjoyed the simple things in life, loved her pets, her family and her wonderful husband that was by her side till the end.

Mrs. Tecca is survived by her husband, Ron Tecca of Burlington; one son, Lamont (Jodi) Sutter of Salem; one daughter, Christina (Jimmy) Mathews of Salem; four grandchildren; her mother, Doris Roth of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers, Paul Roth of Wayland and Marlin Roth of rural Mt. Pleasant; two step-sons, Todd Tecca of Helena, Montana and Chad Tecca of Solon, North Dakota; one step-daughter, Jodi Tecca of Helena; seven step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by father, brother and one nephew.

Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. on Monday, December 28th, in Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at a later date in Sugar Creek Mennonite Cemetery, rural Mount Pleasant.

According to Mrs. Tecca's wishes, her body has been cremated.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
