Neil Olsen
September 29, 1934 - December 27, 2009

Neil Olsen, 75, of Webster City, died Sunday, December
27, 2009 at the Hamilton Hospital. Memorial services will
be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the First Congregational
- U.C.C., with Rev Laird Keever officiating. His ashes will
be buried in the spring in the Greenwood Cemetery at
Ellsworth. Visitation will be one hour before the memorial
service at the church. Arrangements were made with the
Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.
Neil Peter Olsen, son of Ralph and Genevieve Johnson
Olsen, was born September 29, 1934 at Kansas City, MO.
He received his education at Ellsworth. He spent his
sophomore year at the Kuemper Boys School at Booneville,
MO. He attended Webster City Junior College for one year.
On January 1, 1957, he married Nadine Lois Carlstedt at the
No Rest Farm near Ellsworth. The couple resided at
Blairsburg, later moving to the family farm near Ellsworth.
He was an entrepreneur and enjoyed the challenge of being
involved with many businesses as well as farming. The
couple divorced in 1968.
Neil is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Carla and
Kevin Bige of Duncombe; son, Wade Olsen of Blairsburg;
step-daughter and spouse, Denise and Dr. Donald Parsons
of Sioux City; 4 step-grandchildren;
2 step-great-grandchildren;sister, Patty Yungclas of
Webster City; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia
Boresky in November of 2000; His parents; brother-in-law,
Bruce Yungclas in 2000 and nephew, Gary John Yungclas
In 1970.
Neil was a member of the former Webster City Elks
Lodge and the Webster City Family Moose Center.

"Patty and family-We were very sorry to hear of neil's passing. We are spending the winter in Arizona; so won't be there for any service. Neil and I go back a ong way. He will be misssed. "
