Joyce E. Reisdorph age 76 of Maquoketa Iowa died on Tuesday morning October 262004.0 at the Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa Iowa.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 10 A.M. Friday October 292004.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 P.M. Thursday October 282004.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa Iowa. Burial will be in the Buckhorn Cemetery rural Maquoketa Iowa.
Joyce E. Miller was born on August 20 1928 in Maquoketa Iowa to Frank T. Miller and Lydia L. (Varner) Miller. She was a 1946 graduate of Maquoketa Community High School.
Joyce had worked at Sunshine Pre-School in Maquoketa for over ten years providing childcare and kitchen assistance. She had also worked at various retail stores in Maquoketa over the years.
Joyce was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Maquoketa Iowa the Maquoketa American Legion Auxiliary and the Country Community Guild. She enjoyed baking cooking and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Her family was her priority and they were the most important part of her life.
She is survived by: children- Carolin(Mrs. Gary) Van Pelt of Eldridge IA Marilyn Revier of Charlotte NC Tom(Kathie) Reisdorph of Grand Island NE Susan(Mrs. Dan) Schrader of Davenport IA Diane Renner of Davenport IA Chris Holthaus(Ron Schaefer) of Maquoketa IA Jim(Cindy) Reisdorph of Kansas City MO & Robin(Mrs. Bub) Nims of Maquoketa IA; 21 grandchildren 20 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters- Maxine Heinrich of Maquoketa IA & Shirley(Mrs. Robert) Barker of Delmar IA; & 1 sister-in-law- Rosie Miller of Maquoketa IA. She was preceded in death by her parents & 1 brother- Frank Bud Miller Jr.
A Joyce E. Reisdorph Memorial Fund has been established.
