Sarah Marie Lovelace Trammell
September 23, 1949 - June 11, 2010

Sarah Marie Lovelace Trammell was born on September 23, 1949 to the parentage of Bennie and Hattie (Hill) Scroggins, II in Harris County, GA. On the early morning of June 11, 2010, at the Emory University Hospital, Decatur, GA, the Lord sent his angels down and called her home to his Kingdom.

During her early years, she picked up the cross and followed the Lord by joining New Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in West Point, GA. She later Joined True Love Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of the Reverend L.W. Booker, Sr. until the time of her death.

Marie was a product of Harrison High School, where she was a member of the Class of 1968 and was known as "Moo-Shay" amongst her friends and where she excelled on the basketball and track teams. She later attended Fort Valley State College.

She was preceded in death by her beloved younger daughter, Ersla Marie Lovelace and her parents.

As Marie journeys to her spiritual home, she leaves to cherish her beloved memories, a husband, Chester Trammell, Jr. of West Point, GA. A dedicated and devoted son and daughter, Ron Lovelace of Vinings, GA and Winifred Lovelace (James) Mitchell of West Point, GA. Three very special granddaughters, Jasmine Lovelace, Shabre Lovelace and Ashanti Lovelace, all of West Point, GA. One sister, Alice (Jerry) Murry of Shawmut, AL. Three brothers, Alton (Estella) Scroggins, Sr., Bennie Scroggins, III and younger brother she helped raise, Kirby Scroggins, all of West Point, GA. One aunt, Viola Hill Greenlee of West Point, GA. Two nephews and niece she helped raise, Cote (Erica) Carter of Columbus, GA, Ebony Tucker and Jaquavion "JT" Tucker, both of West Point, GA. One sister-in-law, Emma Trammell of LaGrange, GA and one brother- in-law, Sam Trammell of West Point, GA and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
