Thomas Daniel Shaull was born December 21, 1934 in Ladora, Iowa the only child of Forrest and Naomi (Lanning) Shaull. Tom graduated from Victor Community School in 1952. He married Catherine I. Root on June 19, 1954 at the Victor Methodist Church.
Tom was employed at Collins Radio for 10 years and later became a long-time, faithful employee of Manatt’s, Inc. During his 30 years with Manatt’s, he served as Ready Mix Driver and Products Division Manager in Brooklyn, and Ready Mix Plant Manager in Tipton. He retired in 1998.
Through the years, Tom volunteered for the Ladora Fire Department and was a member of the Masons and the Moose Lodge. Tom loved to tell a good story and during his retirement years enjoyed visiting his friends at the Stone Mill Quarry.
In addition to Kate, his wife of 55 years, those left to honor Tom’s memory are this daughter, Janet (Kevin) Anderson of Tipton; his sons, Thomas Jr. (Serena) of Brooklyn; Neil (Mary) of Lowden, Mark (Carla) of Bennett, and Todd of Tipton; his 9 grandchildren, Nathan (Katie) Shaull, Leslie (Jerod) Timmerman, and Stephanie Shaull, all of Tipton, Lindsey (James) Whitfield of Marion, Sierra, Sienna, and Hayden Shaull of Brooklyn, Dane Shaull of Lowden, and Alex Shaull of Bennett; his 5 great-grandchildren, Kerilynn and Joseph Battey, Kyra and Iris Shaull, and Jackson Timmerman, all of Tipton; his brothers-in-law, Monte Root of Belle Plaine, and Chuck Coffman of Kimberling City, Missouri; a very special cousin, Kay Morgan Ladora; and his many dear co-workers and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; his father- and mother-in-law, Charles and Gladys Root; sisters-in-law, Janice Smith and Mary Beth Coffman; and his brothers-in-law, Gene and George Root.
Memorial may be made to the Tipton Ambulance or charity of choice in memory of Tom.
