"As you know, I had the pleasure of having several phone conversations with Uncle Ole during the past two years. We would call each other and talk for an hour or more. He sent me family photos, a copy of my Mother's obituary that appeared in the Times-Republican, etc. He was always such a good storyteller. I have been making a plan to come to Iowa in May or June and I was visualizing knocking on his door and surprising him. It was within two days of my thoughts about this that I heard from you about his passing. I am sorry I won't be able to do it, because I think it would have made him happy. However, he told me many times that he was tired and missed Doris. he will be missed by many- Jody Waltemeyer"
