Michael Dean Wilson
December 18, 1966 - March 1, 2013

Mr. Michael Dean Wilson, 46, of Burlington died at 1:26 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at Great River Hospice House, West Burlington.
Born December 18, 1966, in Burlington, he was the son of Edward C. and Pamela R. Adams Wilson. He married Lori Binkley and they later divorced.
Michael was a 1985 graduate of Burlington Notre Dame High School. He was a Salesman for Sears in Burlington and was a member of SS John and Paul Catholic Church.
He enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia, watching the Miami Dolphins and the Chicago Bulls play, and loved going to car shows. He was known as a walking sports encyclopedia.
Survivors include his parents, Ed and Pam Wilson, of Sperry; one sister, Jill (David) Hirte, of Wever; one brother, Brandon Wilson, of Fairfield; two nephews, David (Christi) Hirte of Omaha, Nebraska, and Derek (Christina) Hirte of the United States Air Force; three nieces, Nicole Hirte of Wever, Brooklynne and Raegan Wilson, both of Fairfield; one great niece, Isabella Hirte of Norwalk, Iowa; and several aunts and uncles, Howard Wilson, Jerry (Angela) Adams, and Julie (Keith) Vaupel.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Lorena Wilson; maternal grandparents, Ray and Ruth Adams; cousin, David Jaeger; and family friend, Laura Gibbs.
Friends may call Monday, March 4th, from noon until 8:00 p.m. in Lunning Chapel. The family will receive friends following a 5:30 p.m. Rosary Service Monday until 8:00 p.m.
The funeral service for Michael will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 5th in Lunning Chapel with Rev. Dean Graber officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, and the Great River Hospice House.
