Sylvan Peter Wetor
March 12, 1926 - March 26, 2013

Sylvan P. Wetor, of Adell and formerly of the town of Sherman, passed away Tuesday morning, March 26, 2013 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. He was 87 years old. Sylvan was born March 12, 1926 in the town of Sherman, son of Peter and Clara Schmitz Wetor. On June 15, 1949, he was united in marriage with Marie Binsfeld at St. Nicholas Church in Dacada. The couple farmed on the family homestead in the town of Sherman until 1989. Sylvan was a life-long member of St. Nicholas Church in Dacada. He was an avid Brewers and Packers fan who enjoyed fishing, working around his yard, and spending time with his family and his cat Shelby. Sylvan is survived by his wife Marie and their children: Joanne (Michael) Fischer and Glenn (Paulette) Wetor, both of Adell. He is further survived by his son-in-law Larry Kumrow of Waldo, 7 grandchildren: Michael (Carrie) Fischer, Jody (Tim) Weyker, Jackie Fischer, Mandy (Eddie) McKenzie, Dan Kumrow, Katie Kumrow and Marissa (Bob) Genske, 8 great-grandchildren: Jalen, Kennedy, Emily, Rachel, Kaylee, Danielle, Lauren and Blake, brother Oliver (Carol) Wetor of Random Lake, sisters-in-law Ellen Binsfeld of Newburg and Audrey Blaubach of Random Lake, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter Monica Kumrow, parents Peter and Clara Wetor, brother Kenneth Wetor, sisters Marcella (Earl) Theisen and Esther (Roman) Burmesch, and many brothers and sisters-in-law. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6PM on Thursday, April 4 at Our Lady of the Lakes, St. Nicholas Chapel, W4270 Hwy K in Dacada. He will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday afternoon from 3-6PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
