In loving memory of

Earl Edward Goodwin Jr.
January 1, 1951 - March 26, 2013

Earl Edward Goodwin Jr, "Buzz", fell asleep in death at the age of 62 on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 with his wife and family by his side. Buzz maintained his integrity throughout his brave two and a half year battle with cancer.

Buzz is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Suzanne Goodwin (Wisconsin), who filled the last 13-plus years with abundant love, care, joy and faith. Buzz is also survived by his parents, Earl E. and Dorothy Jean Goodwin, sister Cindy (Erich) Smith, of Dallas, TX, brother Kenneth (Kathy) of upstate, NY, brother Paul (Liz) of Essex, CT, son, Jesse of Norwich, CT, and in-laws of Ohio. Buzz also had a multitude of spiritual brothers and sisters, and friends all over the country and the world.

Buzz was born on January 1, 1951, in Lynn, MA. He developed a love for music very early in his life and cultivated extraordinary talent in many aspects of music. Buzz was a passionate guitarist on his own and in several bands, including Silverado. He was also a gifted songwriter and collaborator, plus well known and respected in the professional audio industry.

Buzz dedicated his life to Jehovah God, and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in Amherst, MA. Suzy is also one of Jehovah's Witnesses and they were united as 'one flesh' in marriage on May 5, 2001. Buzz and Suzy happily enjoyed their life together in New Hampshire, Utah, California and Wisconsin, serving Jehovah wherever they went.

Buzz encouraged and helped many people and touched many hearts in his life, and always took a personal interest in each one he met and treated them with respect. His energy was boundless, and his friendliness and engaging personality made everyone feel welcome.

His love for Jehovah and appreciation for His creation, for His son, coupled with Jesus Christ's example and sacrifice, were evident in Buzz's daily life.
Buzz will be missed by his family, spiritual brothers and sisters, friends and all who knew him, and especially by his wife, Suzy, whom he cherished.

There will be a Memorial Service for Buzz on Friday, March 29, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, at 542 N Pleasant View Rd, Middleton, WI 53562. Visitation will begin at 2pm, with a Memorial Talk at 3pm. Following the talk there will be refreshments at the Town of Cross Plains Community Center, located at 3734 County Trunk P, in Pine Bluff.

In lieu of flowers, condolences and contributions can be made to the surviving spouse in care of Informed Choice Funerals, 3325 E Washington Ave, Madison, WI, www.informedchoicefunerals.com

"Dearest Buzz, You will always be in my heart and soul. Only you and I know what we shared, as two beings with one mind. The paths we trod in our moments together will always be with me. We understood each other as no two people ever would or could. We ran out of time, that's all. You and I will meet again, when we're least expecting it. Somewhere in some far off place, I will recognize your face. I will say goodbye my friend, but you and I will meet again. RIP Dear One."

"Buzz hired me @ Lexicon in the early 2000's. Though I didn't stay long (living in Florida and working in the Northeast was impossible) I got to know what a great person Buzz is. The music industry is a difficult place to hold a position in. Every time I saw Buzz at a trade show he would always say, "we will work together again." Those kind words were the kind of thing that made Buzz a very special and unique individual. He leaves behind many friends who will miss him dearly. My sincere condolences to his lovely wife, his parents, siblings, son and all of us who knew, respected and loved him. God's speed..."

We both pursued careers in similar industries and I sometimes run into him at a trade show event. When I did, he always brought a huge smile to my face. I am so sad, he was one of the good guys and I will remember him forever. "

"When I think of Buzz I think of him making me do crazy stuff, like the time we took clients out to a very skecthy LA mexican restaurant. He talked the wandering mariachi guiartists into he and I borrowing their guitars for a song. He leans over to me and informs me that we are going up in front of the restaurant to sing and I'm singing and what tune are we doing! Suddenly he and I are up in front of a packed restaurant singing "Gloria" with me making up words about our clients and singing in a restaurant. To this day the clients still talk to me about that. Those are the moments I'll remember about my friend Buzz. He really made an effort to be in the moment and create memories. I will miss my friend."

"The thing I will always remember about Buzz is his fantastic style; the way he dressed and in his larger than life persona. He absolutely brought many smiles and laughter at the Harman facility in Sandy, Utah while he was here. Like many have mentioned he always had a story to tell of his many experiences in the Music business. He had such passion for music and sales and all that it encompassed -- he managed to do very well in both. And to Suzy; he absolutely adored you -- he was always saying fabulous things about you. And of course he spoke adoringly of Bunky too. I send my heartfelt condolences to all of Buzz's loved ones and family -- he will definitely be missed. "
