"I loved taking care of Gen at The harbor Campus! Every night I'd ask her "OK beautiful, are you ready for bed?" And she'd always smile. She was always such an inspiration to me. Her smile was always a reminder of my love for working there. Rest in peace beautiful!"

"Aunt Gen was a very special person and always kind to me. I have many memories of family gatherings at holidays when little. And, it was always fun to visit the Pewaukee house and fields behind. For our wedding, she used her milinary skills to make a beautiful veil, and when our daughter Tiffany was born, her crib was adorned with a beautiful blanket. Remember her apartment in Manitowac and how she cared for Uncle Orrin. Then it was special to see her again with my grandmother in Port Washington. She was always so proud of her sons and daughter, and then her grandchildren. All of you took such wonderful care of her through the years. Now she is at peace. "

"Aunt Gen has blessed me with many happy memories; from the time I was her flower girl to our many holidays together in Batavia, spanning many years from visits in Boltonville, Oconto, Thiensville, Pewaukee and Manitowac. I remember wearing her beautiful feather, fur and floral hats she made when she was a milliner. I am still using her hot pads and towels that she sewed. And, she loved quilting for her family. In the late 1970s, Aunt Gen was a floral artist at Stonewood Village while Uncle Orrin was a FTD bookkeeper. They were wonderful helpers. In more recent years, my mother Alice joined Gen in Port Washington. My mother was moved into the same section as Aunt Gen and the two would hold hands while watching Television. She would have been very pleased that her children prepared a memorable memorial service in Decada on Saturday. The songs selected and poem composed were all very special. Thank you for the memories, Aunt Gen. Yvonne Locker"

"One of my favorite memories of Aunt Gen was when my sister Sandy and I slept over at her house in Pewaukee. Gen told us we could make cookies by ourselves. So we mixed them up but something was wrong. Gen figured out we had too much sugar. She didn't get upset and somehow she managed to fix our mixup and they were really good cookies."

Mary Lynne (Jungers) Kalchthaler wrote on May 14, 2013:

"I remember Aunt Gen as always smiling, always cheerful, always welcoming--such a dear person! She was one of my favorite aunts and I always looked forward to seeing her. i feel sad that she is gone but grateful that her passing was peaceful. I am so sorry that Tom and I can't be at the funeral to celebrate her life. "

"I loved my Aunt Gen. She was always so interested in what we were all doing. It was so fun to visit she and Uncle Doc both in Milwaukee and Pewaukee. I will, through mutual friends, let them know of Gen's passing. I wish I had the hat that she made for me. I do have the cookbook that she gave me. I miss not seeing Don and Maryanne and Alice and Jerry, along with Mary. Your mother was such a fun loving lady, and was so kind always to my mom and daddy and we children. So sorry for your loss. Love you, Phil and Pat(Jungers) Dagnon"

"When I was a child I remember what a big trip it was to travel to the " big city" of Milwaukee, to visit Aunt Gen....keeping in mind that we are driving from Port Washington! When we would get there I remember entering the front door into the living room. At the far end of the room was a winding stair case going up to the second floor. That was the first time I had ever seen a stair case like that. I thought it was magnificent! I also remember going to the back yard and seeing the flowers, it was all so pretty to me. Everyone would be talking, especially the two sisters(my mom, Dolores and Aunt Gen.) That is exactly how it is now, when I get together with my sisters. Family memories are so important, and how often they come full circle. "
