Robert E. Wheeler

Sister Bay WI; 65. Passed away peacefully with his family beside him on Sunday, May 12, 2013. He was born on March 28, 1948 in Antigo, WI to Louis and Eleanor Wheeler. He graduated from Brookfield East High School and Milwaukee School of Engineering. In 1969 he married Peggy Maederer. He worked at Doerr Electric, Cedarburg, WI, as Chief Tool Engineer then as Educational Director for the Society of Die Casting Engineers in Illinois. He purchased and became President of Pioneer Tool & Die, Inc. in Cedarburg, WI. He and his wife retired to Door County in 1996. His biggest enjoyment were his grandchildren, Nikolas, Sasha and Lilyana; always being there for their many activities was very important to him. Survivors include his dear wife, Peg; his loving mother Eleanor Koepke; his loving sons Todd (Olga) Rochester, MN and Chad (Rachel) Milwaukee, WI. Cherished grandpa of Nikolas, Sasha and Lilyana. His sister Janet (William) Severson, brother-in-law John (Cynthia) Maederer; half sister-in-law, Judith (Mel) McKeel; nieces Samantha and Alexis, Jenna (Steve), Lindesy (Geoff) and son, Max. Also, step brothers, Jim (Carolyn) Koepke, Alan (Joan) Koepke, Ron (Alice) Koepke, step sister, Marian (Dan) Toy; plus many step nieces and nephews and their children. Preceded in death by his father, Louis LaVere Wheeler; Step-father, Edgar Koepke, Step-brother Robert Koepke, Step-brother-in-law Robert Beimborn and Mother-in-law and father-in-law Elsbeth and Sidney Maederer.

A Celebration of Bob's Life gathering will be held at the Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, Saturday, May 18 from 9:00 AM to Noon. Private Burial at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, Bob would like memorials to be used for his grandchildren's college funds.
