Alberta Priebe
October 22, 1912 - June 17, 2013

Alberta Priebe, 100, of Burlington, died 8:53 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2013, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born on October 22, 1912 in Hannibal, Missouri, she was the daughter of Ewell and Nora (Elgin) Campbell. She married Lowell Priebe on November 6, 1937 in Mexico, Missouri. He died in April 26, 1990.
Mrs. Priebe was a graduate of Hannibal High School, Hannibal-LaGrange College and Northeast Missouri State Teachers College. She was a former third grade teacher for Washington School in Quincy, Illinois. She was a member of Vermont Street United Methodist Church in Quincy and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid reader.
Survivors include one son, Jim (Mary) Priebe of Burlington; two grandchildren, Susan (Ken) Thomas and Sara (Ed) Ring and two great-grandchildren, Aaron Thomas and Annika Linder
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister Frances another sister in infancy and two brothers, Alfred and Edward.
The graveside funeral service for Mrs. Priebe will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 25th, at Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois with Dr. Scott Grulke officiating.
Memorials have been established for First United Methodist Church and Burlington Municipal Band Foundation.
