Bev and Dick worked side by side for 60 years running Pinky's (Stadium Drive In) in Knoxville for 10 years and they have worked together for 37 years at Northcote Wholesale Meats. She enjoyed her home near Lake Red Rock; seeing all the wildlife in her yard and going for drives around the lake and through Elk Rock. She also enjoyed working in her yard and flower gardens. Bev loved being with and enjoying her family, especially her many grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, C.R. "Dick" Northcote; her children: Jonith (Wayne) VanWardhuizen of Knoxville, Catherine (Dennis) Houser of New Sharon, Nancy Beal of Knoxville, and Scott (Kathy) Northcote of Knoxville; grandchildren: Wendy (Joe) Conklin, Irma (Eric) Wheeler, DeAnna Thomsen, Elizabeth, Jennifer, and Michael Vanwardhuizen, Devin (Jessica) Houser, Josh (Stephanie) Beal, Adam (Ann) Beal, Caleb Beal, Ryan Northcote, and Megan Northcote; 8 great grandchildren: Clarissa, Hailey, Kymber, Andrew, Lauren, Avery, Aidan, and Michael. Also surviving are her brother, Gary (Dori) Hansel of Sacramento, many nieces and nephews, and many "adopted by the heart" grandchildren.

Beverly will remain in our hearts forever and will be remembered and loved as long as we are alive.

"Dick and family, I want to extend our sympathy to the loss of your wife and Mother to a wonderful family. I have always admired the work ethics of the Northcote family and the dedication to all the to the surrounding communities. Very few families have made such a impact on so many of us in the Marion County area. Went I was in Pinkies as a young man her smile was priceless to us all!! Her kindness was very special. Sincerely, Max Smith & Family"

"I am saddened to hear of Beverly's passing. The Northcote Children and the Martin children attended Knoxville Schools. I even worked awhile at the Stadium Drive inn. While Charlie was still living and able to travel to our home town he always like to stop at Northcotes Meat Market and get the best ham. Beverly will be greatly missed. Marilyn martin "

"Dear Northcote family, When I opened the DesMoines paper today I immediately recognized Beverly. She looks alot like Gordon. We all loved Gordy and have thought of the fun times we had when he was part of our family. I am so sorry that you have lost Bev, but you know she is in a better place!! I suppose you have heard that my sister, Diane has Alzheimers. What a terrible fate to have it and not be able to enjoy your golden years. She doesn't know who we are anymore, but is always pleasant and friendly. I don't know if we will make it to the funeral, but know that we are thinking of you and our prayers will be with you! Love, Margo Lockhart Edwards"
