Raymond George Theis
July 18, 1923 - July 15, 2013

Mr. Raymond G. Theis, age 89 years of Random Lake, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center in Plymouth. He was born July 18, 1923 in the Town of Farmington, son of Peter and Anna Franzen Theis. He graduated from Random Lake High School. On June 22, 1946 he married Jeanette Hubing at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Dacada. They lived their life together in the Dacada/Random Lake area, raising their family on a dairy farm near Dacada, working side-by-side from milking cows to operating farm equipment. The couple retired from farming in 1988, and moved to Random Lake to live with their daughter Betty Mayer. Ray did everything together with his wife Jeanette, including going to daily mass and caring for each other in their later years. Jeanette preceded him in death in 2007. Ray was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes, St. Nicholas Chapel, the Holy Name Society, Random Lake Co-op Board, the Sheboygan County Farm Bureau, the Rainbow Baseball League, and a former board member of the Tri Consolidated School. Ray is survived by his 10 children: Mary (LeRoy) Momper of Fredonia, Ray Jr. "Butch" (Barb) of Random Lake, Betty Mayer of Random Lake, Patricia (John) Armbruster of Cedarburg, JoAnn (Wally) Ney of Hubertus, Robert (Sharon) of Random Lake, Thomas (Rita) of Random Lake, Ronald (Debi) of Belgium, Richard "Dick" (Tina) of Random Lake and Howard (Linda) of New Brighton, MN, 29 grandchildren: Kerry (Mark) Gloede, Nicholas (Stephanie) Momper, Brian (Becky), Jeremy (Marisa) and Nicholas Theis, Anna Marie and Alina Armbruster, Nathan (Cory), Danielle and Kristen Ney, Sherry (Cory) Koch, Robert Theis, James, Brittany and Jacob Miller, Justine (Justin) Zuelsdorf, Alyssa, Chloe, Reese, Ryan, Luke, Elizabeth and Devon Theis, Brenna Antholt, Casey (Matthew) Schultz, John Raza, Travis, Jamie and Brandon Dieringer. He is further survived by 9 great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law Lori Miller of Random Lake, special friend Clara Weyker, many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, son James, granddaughter Jamie Theis, brother Ervin Theis and sister Lucille Keitel. Mass of Christian burial Saturday, July 20 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, St. Nicholas Chapel, Dacada with Father Todd Budde officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 171 N. Royal Ave., Belgium Friday evening, July 19 from 4-8PM and at the Church on Saturday morning from 10-11AM.
