ROY W. SANDEE
Mr. Roy Sandee, of Grand Ave. in Random Lake, passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon, July 19, 2013, at his residence. He was 58 years old. Roy was born in Sheboygan on May 26, 1955, son of Miles and Carol Hoftiezer Sandee. He grew up in Oostburg and graduated from Oostburg High School with the Class of 1973. On January 14, 1978 Roy was united in marriage with Joyce Bahr at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in the Town of Belgium. The couple settled in Random Lake and raised their family. Mr. Sandee worked at Bolens in Port Washington for 23 years, and later had worked at Advanced Cast Stone in Random Lake. Roy was a member of Our Lady of The Lakes Parish. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Some of his many interests included landscaping, working complex jigsaw puzzles, and creating decorative glasswork. When his children were younger, Mr. Sandee was an official for youth soccer and baseball in the Random Lake area. In his spare time, Roy enjoyed having cook outs, watching old westerns and doing yardwork. He would often snowblow the whole block, or mow neighbors yards while they were on vacation, just because it was the nice thing to do. Mr. Sandee is survived by his wife, Joyce, and their three children: Scott (Sara) Sandee of South Milwaukee, Amy (Jamie) Donner of Silver Creek and Ryan (Julie) Sandee of Colorado Springs, CO, as well as 7 grandchildren: Abby, Cole, Logan, Brennan, Brianna, Sophia and Theodore. He is further survived by 3 brothers: Don (Beth) Sandee of Hawley, TX, James (Judy) Sandee of Oostburg and Kent Sandee of Sheboygan , mother-in-law Arlene Bahr of Belgium, 4 brothers-in-law: Mike (Lisa) Bahr of Belgium, Tom (Brenda) Bahr, Bill (Rhonda) Bahr, both of Random Lake and Gerald Gantner of Belgium. Further survivors include his dear canine companion Bella, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Vivian Gantner, brother Peter Sandee and sister-in-law Mary Ann Sandee. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6PM on Wednesday, July 24, at Our Lady of the Lakes, St. Nicholas Chapel, Dacada. Father Richard Cerpich will preside. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Wednesday from 3-6PM. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or to the American Lung Association. The Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
