"I knew Esther thru my mom, Inez Bartelt, and I seem to remember she also had worked at Sprague Electric in Grafton, with my mom and way back! She was such a sweet and kind soul. Never had a bad word about anyone. My sympathies to the entire Retzer family."

Lorie West wrote on Jul 23, 2013:

"When I was a child, Ma's twin sister was more magical than any fairy tale hero. I still know the sound of her phone number being dialed on a rotary phone. Joey, Dennis, Ma, Aunt Ruth, Arnold and everyone else affected, you're all in my prayers. "

Patty Flierl wrote on Jul 23, 2013:

"My deepest sympathy to Esther's family. When I moved to Port Washington in 1978, the first people to befriend me was Esther and Ruby Kirsch. While we lost contact, she has always remained a kind and guiding light to me. She was the kindest person I ever knew."
