"My "Sandy memories" are so vivid--after 40 years I can still see that smile...I babysat for Tammy and Ryan when they were toddlers when Dave and Sandy lived in the Iroquois area; went to church with the Welsh family in Yale and Cavour; and remember well the dances in Bancroft with Dave and Sandy. I'm so happy to have known you, Sandy. You were a great mentor and friend. Your new home must be fabulous!"
"Dave & Family Just a note to let you know that you will all be in my thoughts and prayers. Lived in Bancroft many years ago and still try to go back once a year as I feel a connection there. So many good memories and I do remember you Dave as being my Godfather and spending time at the Welsh farm. I'm sure Sandy will be missed by many people. What a beautiful picture of her and what a great smile. Will let my brother David know as he was in Sandy's class in Bancroft. All my love and prayers to all of you. "
"Sorry about your loss Marcy."
"Tammy, Ryan, Marcie, Richie, MOTHERS NEVER DIE You have never lost your Mother Though you??ve said the last good-byes Though there??s heartbreak in the parting No one??s Mother really dies. If you love to hear the old songs For the memories they bring It??s because you had a Mother Who taught your heart to sing If you stop to help a neighbor Search your heart and you will find It??s because you had a Mother Who taught you to be Kind. If you go to church when weary Seeking God to guide your way It??s because you had a Mother Who taught you how to pray. No, you??ve never lost your Mother Though you??ve said your last good ?? byes Through your thoughts and deeds she??s living No one??s Mother really dies. May you find comfort in this verse. Mothers are Special People! Mary Jennings, Bancroft, SD "
"Dave and family, I was so saddened by the news when Susan called and told us about Sandy. She is at peace with God and all his Angels. I am sure it was quite a reunion with her Mother & Sister. I know the days, weeks and months ahead will be full of sorry and heartache, but just remember, "God knows what is best for us and his timing is always perfect, we don't know and we are not suppose to understand. Just have Faith and Believe! May God Bless all of you and fill you with his Love and remember, you have memories. Our Sympathy and our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Deb & Mary Jennings, Bancroft, SD. "

"Sandy and I spoke quite frequently on the phone; she always had a story to share about her grandchildren. One day Sandy was watching Brook and Blake. The kids decided to run across the street to visit their Great Grandma. Brook took off across the street first and Blake followed his older sister, leaving Sandy behind. Sandy then yelled at Blake ??Stop Blake or you??re going to get in trouble!? Blake continued across the street. When he reached the other side he looked back at Sandy sat down next to a tree and said ??time out grandma?. I guess timeout??s really do work. This was the last conversation I had with my beloved sister Sandy. She will be sadly missed."
