Joshua E. Mcpherson, 30, of Ft. Madison, Iowa died Thursday, August 22, 2013, in Dallas City, Illinois.
Joshua was born December 31, 1982, in Keokuk, Iowa, a son of Henry and Cindy McGlasson Becerra. He married Toni Scott on April 18, 2009, in Burlington, Iowa. She survives. He lived most of his life in the surrounding area. He was employed with the Ft. Madison Democrat as a route delivery man. He was in the National Guard from 2000 through 2002.
He is survived by his wife Toni of Ft. Madison, Iowa; two children, Stormy Mcpherson and Joshua Mcpherson, Jr.; his parents; three brothers: Doug Mcpherson and his wife Kellie of Ft. Madison, Iowa; Brandon Mcpherson of Ft. Madison, Iowa; Enrique Becerra of Ft. Madison, Iowa; numerous cousins; two nieces: Alexis and Brooklyn and one nephew, Blaze, and a devoted dog and friend, Cosmo.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one cousin.
A Celebration of his life will be at 1:00 PM Monday, August 26, 2013, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau. Burial will follow at Buena Vista Cemetery, Keokuk, Iowa.
Visitation will precede the service at 12:00 PM, Monday, August 26, 2013, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made for the children's education funds.
