Tributes

Tamara (Gordon) Salo wrote on Nov 5, 2013:

"Hearing this sad news brought tears to my father's eyes (Albert Gordon). Dr. Wein was my father's hero after he was hit by a car in Encino over 4o years ago. A few years later Dr. Wein became my doctor, and I remember him as being the nicest person. I often saw him driving around Encino... If I remember correctly it was a green El Dorado. They don't make doctor's like Dr. Wein anymore. He was genuine and caring! "

Karen Wein Langford wrote on Oct 2, 2013:

"It has been so touching to me and to everyone in my family to hear and read all of the kind words about how much Dad's presence on this planet will be missed and all that he did for all of the people whose lives he touched while we were lucky enough to have him with us - the words of encouragement he offered, the wonderful care he provided, the way others were inspired by the things he did..... It is truly heartwarming to know that Dad meant so much to so many. I have experienced deep loss in my life but nothing compares to the loss of a parent. It is a unique loss when one of the people who gave you life leaves you. It feels as though the world should stop - even if only for a brief moment - just so you can catch your breath but it doesn't and before you realize it, today comes and you it has been a month since we said our final goodbyes to Dad's physical being. I will always hear his words in my head and he will be forever in my heart. I love you and miss you Dad. "

Leslie Wein wrote on Sep 25, 2013:

"To the man I admire most in this world, to the man whose wisdom guided the lives of all those blessed to know him, to the man who inspired all he met, to the man who cared deeper than the ocean about quality of life for all he loved, to the man who always knew how to make it better, to the man I was blessed and honored to call Daddy, I will miss and love you all the days of my life. Heaven has been blessed by your arrival. I love you Dad. "

Steven Lee Stinnett wrote on Sep 8, 2013:

"Visiting George Campbell in the hospital, yet another friend our good Doctor was helping, stepping off the elevator and seeing Dr. Wein at the other end of the hall, talking to yet another family member of yet another patient - that person expressing gratitude and thanks. As an artist I couldn't conceive of such a scene. Perhaps Rockwell might have. The tall Doctor dispensing his time, attention, advice and patience. It was a scene from another time, my childhood memories of what Doctors had been, a learned man, deeply respected by a community. A man has passed and an age has passed with him. My heart felt condolences to his family."
