"My sympathy to your families. I am Marna Stohlmann Durr from Williamsburg. As a little girl, I would stay at Aunt Margaret Schmidt's house in Cedar Rapids for a few days. During that time, I would be invited to your house for an afternoon to play with Peggy. Elizabeth made me feel so special. We usually got some kind of new "toy" to play with and I would get to keep. Elizabeth was so pretty and proper. I admired her from afar. The last time I saw her was at my Mom's (Alma Schmidt Stohlmann) funeral in 2005. I so apologize that I could not attend the funeral, but you were in my thoughts and prayers. A special woman like Elizabeth will be missed in your days ahead. She is in heaven with her family and all the cousins having a joyous time. Elizabeth had a very Happy Birthday. That thought is what makes the "missing" days easier to get through. God's blessings on you all."

"Dear Peg and Tom and your families, i first met Elizabeth as she was a friend of my mother-in-law Helen Young. We got to be friends because i knew
Don from working at Cryovac, and i took her to some of the retirement get togethers. You are in my thoughts and Prayers. Ginnie Young"

"Dear Tom and Peg and your families,
Elizabeth was such a good friend for so many years. I remember picking her up every Sunday night and we would go out to dinner together. I will miss her."
