"Grandma Marie welcomed me into the family and always took the time to talk with me. She genuinely cared about her family and treated all with kindness. She was a very gracious and sweet lady who will be missed. "

Mary & Charli (Meyer) wrote on Oct 7, 2013:

"We will sure miss you Aunt Marie. You were so kind to us as kids growing up and visiting the cottage. Even in later years you still wanted us to visit! That meant a lot. Thanks for helping us learn more about our heritage and telling us fun tales about our mom. What a wonderful sister and blessing you were to her. There are so many fond memories we will have of you forever. "

Deb Mueller wrote on Oct 6, 2013:

"Marie taught me to make pie crust very early in my marriage. Paul once told me that when she was growing up, Marie's family made pies every day, to be served with lunch. I will continue to think of her every time I make a pie to share with family and friends. And of course, she will be on my mind every time I make schaum tortes. Especially on the 4th of July."

Kristin (Mueller) Wratney wrote on Oct 4, 2013:

"I will miss you Grandma Marie - you're the only person I ever knew to turn 100+ and still be witty and smart as ever. I will miss your knowing smile and wink when you hear something silly, Oreos and Coca Colas at your house, your festive and fabulous holiday outfits, and all the fun times we had on July 4th at your birthday parties. Thanks for all the amazing memories we've shared. "

Tommy Kirschling wrote on Sep 29, 2013:

"I remember Grandma for all things sweet - the nicest things to say, cookies kept in a cat-shaped cookie jar, 4th of July birthday cake, cards in the mail on holidays, and of course her loving kiss. Thanks to her strength and God's blessing, the world received 101 years of sweets!"
