Scott Martin Becker was born on July 30, 1964 in Madelia, Minnesota to Albert and Marilyn (Pierce) Becker. He was baptized at the Fieldon Trinity Church of Lewisville, Minnesota and later confirmed at the Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato, Minnesota. Scott attended elementary school in Jackson and Eagle Lake and later graduated from Mankato East High School. Scott then went to Mankato State University and graduated from there. Scott served in the National Guard in high school and college and after college he served in the Air Guard.
On October 7, 2000, Scott was united in marriage to Kathy Stoks at the Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato. They made their home in Windom and Bingham Lake. Scott worked for AGCO for over seventeen years as a Quality Control Engineer.
Scott passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 17, 2013 in rural Bingham Lake, Minnesota.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom where he was very active. He was a youth director and in charge of Vacation Bible School, an usher, Chairman of the Education Committee, Chairman of Faith in Action, Vice-Chair of the Congregation and served in many other ways. Scott enjoyed gardening, horseback riding, computers, fishing, camping, tinkering in his sheds, and had a love for dogs. He loved life, helping people, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Becker of Bingham Lake; three daughters, Grace Becker of Bingham Lake, Danielle Olson of Canby and Kelcey Olson of Fargo, ND; two grandchildren, Aubri and Easton Burmeister; father, Albert (Joyce) Becker of Windom; mother, Marilyn (Bob) Pierce of North Mankato; five siblings, Beth (Brad) Sieberg of North Mankato; Dawn (Troy) Boettcher of Mankato; Bobbi Jo Becker of Worthington; Patricia Becker of Burnsville; and James Becker of Windom; three step-siblings, Blain Pierce, Randy Pierce and Jamie Pierce; grandmother, Elnora Becker of Madelia; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Erick Knaak, Ethel Knaak and Henry Becker; step-brother, Dana Pierce; and step-sister, Fonda Pierce.

"I am so sorry for the loss of Scott. He was my cousin. I have a fond memory that I would like to share. At Christmas time, Scott was asked to play Santa, at our Grandpa and Grandma Knaak's Christmas celebration. He came to me and asked me to be Santa's helper. I remember being so happy that he had chosen me to help him with this task. We went to my Aunt and Uncle's house to get ready. I helped him get dressed in the Santa suit and I put on the elf costume and off we would go to hand out the gifts for the evening. As a younger cousin to him, he was someone that I looked up to.
