"My dearest ex-wife, while searching through my memories, I happen to come across your obituary. I am so sorry to learn of your passing before I had the chance to tell you that I did survive Vietnam. We were so young then. Because of the war, we lost something I never really found again. I still have pictures of us in Adak, Alaska. Those were the best days of our lives. I have fond thoughts of us while we were married. I hope you thought of me with a kind heart after our divorce. I always thought of us as friends first before we were lovers, but the war separated us and eventually let to our divorce. I still loved you over all these many years but circumstances had a way to keep us apart. I miss your Mom and Dad, Ray was a great guy and was always their for me during times of difficulty. I remember the time he let me drive the Studebaker back to Key West when my junker wouldn't start. That kept me from being AWOL. Well my love and friend I miss you. I'll see you again when my life is over. I'm 71 years old now and like most old fogies, I'm just waiting my time. I did retire from the US Air Force and had a second career as a civil service helicopter tech rep for the US Navy. I could never get away from the Navy it seems. I still love you and miss you. "

"I'm so sorry for your loss. Please accept my deepest sympathy. May you find comfort from your memories, as well as God's word the bible. Why do people we love die? Romans 5:12 says: "That is why, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." How loving of God to promise what is found at Revelation 21:4 which says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." "

"Karen was my cousin that I knew when I was very young. Our lives separated many years ago but a few years ago she called me when we moved to Naples. It was great to hear from her. We tried to reach out but she was dealing with health issues. After reading the many tributes to her we feel comfortable she had great and caring friends in her life. We are sad that we never had a chance to talk or see her before her passing. May she rest in peace. Love your cousin Paul "

"Karen was my cousin. Our mothers were sisters. Karen moved to Florida with her parents when she was about 7 years old. Because of the distance, we never really knew each other. In recent years , after my husband died, we began chatting on the phone. I came to realize what a happy, giving person she was. She had a few setbacks but she seemed to bounce back and keep going with a positive attitude. I'm glad to know that she had great friends who were really her family. Thanks to everyone who loved her and took care of her. Special thanks to Lisa Huffman who called to let me know about Karen's passing. "
