"Barbara and John Tolch
As we read the obits today, we said, "Lutz, hummm. We used to know a Joann and a Fred Lutz way back in the good ole days of the Madison Speed Skating Club." Well, sure enough it was you. We have thought about you many times over the years, but we have lost track of you and your family. In this time of sorrow, we just want your family to know that our warmest thoughts and prayers go out to them."

"Joann and I worked together at Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation. I have many fond memories of Joann, especially her constant smile. Joann came into my life again when my mother was at Agrace Hospice. Joann cared for her as though Mom were her mother. She made Mom very comfortable. Her family is in my thoughts and prayers."

"We met in Spring Green on the golf course about 20 years ago, introduced by mutual friends. When I joined the Ridgewood Ladies Golf at Odana, Joann was one of the first to make me feel welcome. Her sincerity, kindness and sense of fun driving with the top down wil never be forgotten!"

"I always saw Joann as my mom's (Arlene Holum) best friend. They were always there for each other from their early 20's where they met at Lauderdale Lakes until my mom's passing in 2009. I'm guessing many others also saw Joann as their BFF too. They are both looking down at us now with love and pride for their children and grandchildren and great grandchildren."

"I have so many wonderful memories of Joann (and Fred). I worked with Joann when she was a "tour guide" at Forest Products. She would bring us gyros if we had the urge for them at lunch. Our kids swam in their pool many times and we had several adult birthday and retirement pool parties over the years. You are in our thoughts and prayers. --Tom & Sue Parisi"
