Diane Depies, of the Town of Scott, passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at her residence. She was 65 years old. Diane was born in Milwaukee on May 30, 1948, daughter of Thomas and Arline Janke Thill. She grew up in Fredonia and graduated from Port Washington High School in 1966. On December 27, 1969 she married Don Depies at St. John's Lutheran Church in Fredonia. Diane worked as a secretary for Gilson Brothers in Fredonia for many years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Fredonia. She loved her cat Beamer, growing flowers and being around nature, the peaceful view at the lake up north, watching sunsets and loons and listening to the quietness. Diane also enjoyed good friends, traveling, Packers games and her man "Charlie". Diane is survived by her husband Don of the Town of Scott, brothers-in-law Merlin (Vicki) Depies of Random Lake and Harold Depies of Grafton, sister-in-law Arlene (Fred) Mueller of Cascade, her aunt Ginny Janke of Random Lake, cousins Ellen Berndt of Pembine, Dick (Karen) Janke of Phoenix, AZ, Roger (Chris) Janke, Mark Janke and Hal (Lucy) Janke all of Fredonia, and Tom (Caroline) Janke of Fond du Lac. Diane will be dearly missed by Don, Beamer and many friends especially Bonnie Nelson of Sun City, CA, Lynn and Den, Nancy and Brian, Judy and Wayne and Carol, Donna, Jane and more who were there to help her during her difficult journey. Diane was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Arline Thill, her brother Dennis Thill, and her father and mother-in-law Nic and Luella Depies. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 12th 6:30 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church, 824 Fredonia Ave, Fredonia. Pastor Robert Zick will officiate. She will be laid to rest in the Church cemetery. A visitation will be held at the CHURCH on Thursday, December 12th from 4-6:30 PM. "to my lost my childhood friend last night at 10:45 p.m. to cancer. She was my confidant, our mothers were best friends all their lives. I spent 3 mos every summer with her while growing up. She's the reason I love the Packers, and silliness and animals, forest and lakes and Wisconsin. I don't remember ever being without her and not laughing and feeling free. She has a great husband Don who has been her love of her life for 40+ years. I wish I could hug him and cry with him right now.
