Linda was born in Laurel, NE on June 27, 1951, the daughter of Arnold "Smokey" and Alberta (Malsi) Stark. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Martinsburg, where she was a lifetime member. She was also a member of Trinity Ladies Aid and Gasser VFW Auxiliary. Linda graduated from Ponca High School in 1969. She worked at Tyson for forty-five years.

She enjoyed watching the Bears, Cubs and Huskers and spending time with her family. She recently said that going to the Cubs game with her boys on her birthday was one of the best days of her life. She adored her four "Grand dogs" which she spoiled and showered with love. Linda was a caring and giving woman who truly valued every relationship she made...she touched many peoples lives. We lost a good one for sure and I know that she would say, "Remember the good times and have a Busch Light for me."

Survivors include her sons, Jason Makousky of Martinsburg, NE and Tom Makousky and friend Allison of Sioux City, IA; three brothers, Charles & Vickie Stark of Americas, KS, Richard & Carmen Stark of Ponca, NE and Robert Stark of Dakota City, NE; one sister, Sharon Scott of Ponca, NE; brother-in-law, Larry Lueth of Wakefield, NE; sister-in-law, Marge Stark of Hubbard, NE; and several nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Arnold and Alberta Stark; 3 brothers, Gary, Spark and Ed; and one sister, Barb.

"linda was always welcoming and regardless of what you were wearing or where you were in life as a whole she never denied me as her friend. She always asked about my family and had a hug or shoulder if you needed it. What lindas obituary doesnt say is that she was a teacher. A teacher of gentleness, understanding and free of judgement- She wanted the best for everyone she didnt gossip or belittle people and forgave those who wronged her. I will miss my friend ;("

Sherry Allen wrote on Dec 10, 2013:

"Linda was one of those unique people you feel blessed that you got to spend even a small amount of time with. I worked at Tyson for 20+ years before I left and bowled on the same Wednesday afternoon league with her and Jason. No matter how rough her day at work was, she'd get to the bowling alley, let her hair down, and would have a smile for everyone. Her smile will surely be missed. We'll miss ya', Wilma!"
