"Dad, or as I called him, Chuckie Balboa, near the end, was my SWEETHEART! From the day I met him on December 27, 1977, he liked me! I knew him before I knew his son...who eventually became my husband! He had a HUGE influence on the man my husband is today and for that I thank him from the bottom of my heart! Dad was a HUGE ROMANTIC and was SO IN LOVE with my mother-in-law, it was absolutely AMAZING! I'm not sure if I've EVER seen a love that deep. Even at the end when he couldn't make rational conversation or know who people were, he ALWAYS KNEW HER! He'd call her his BEAUTIFUL BRIDE, right up to the day he could no longer speak! He'd reach to hold her hand and look at her with SUCH LOVE in his eyes, that that pure tenderness and love will stay with me FOREVER! Those are the things that he taught his son, Chuck. They let their love show and be felt and seen, and for that I owe him a lifetime of gratitude! That's a GREAT thing to teach your sons...how to show their love for another! I adore my father-in-law, and I say that in a present tense, cuz I will adore him til I take MY last breath! Rest In Peace, Dad. I'll love you forever!"

"I send my deepest condolences to the entire Boehm family for the passing of Mr. Boehm. I've worked with Chuck (Jr.) for many years. While I've never known him personally, if Chuck's humor, character, dedication and readiness to volunteer is any indication of that of his father, then Mr. Boehm has left a fine legacy of which I'm sure he is very proud. My thoughts and prayers are with you all."

"The memories of my childhood start on 4th Street and end a few blocks away on 64th Way. Your home was my home, your sons my brothers. There is no time I can ever recall when I did not have an Uncle named Chuck. I know how much you loved the game of golf. I regret we never played that round of golf together we promised each other one day we would. I hope your heaven is a never-ending fairway, where your drives are long and straight, and your putts short and true. God bless you, Uncle Chuck. "

"Chuck, I am sorry to hear about your father's passing. Although I have never met your Dad, and cannot add any memories, I can see the influence he had on you through your own memories of him, your kindness and your humor. How all is well with you and your Mom and the rest of your family through this time."

Chuck Boehm wrote on Dec 20, 2013:

"I have too many favorite memories, but one I have related several times is when I was a Cub Scout. We had a sailing regatta for model boats. I needed to make a keel and rudder for my boat, so instead of making due with household goods, my dad asked a machinist at Easter Airlines to cut the parts I needed from 7075 aircraft aluminum using a plasma cutter. I had some high tech parts on my little boat. Dad had gone above and beyone. Miss you Dad!"
