"Mike, Sorry to hear about your father. Judging by the family photo he was very much loved and respected. It's been a long time (1971) since we last saw/talked to each other in Milwaukee going to UTI. I've always wondered what you have been doing and where you ended up. I hope everything is going well for you. "

"I know you don't know me, but I know the Cantonwine name. I bought an old farm house east of Vinton, 25 years ago, known for being on the Cantonwine curve and owned by them. I was wondering if this is the same house he was born it. Sorry to here about your loss. Can contact me if this is the same. I have heard stories and would like to know more. 319-270-6525."

"I am so sorry to hear of Dale's passing. My memories of him are very fuzzy now, because we moved across town when I was 5 years old. I remember my mom taking me with her in to the butcher shop and standing there while they visited. This November it will have been 10 years since I lost my dad, (and 6 in April since I lost my mom). The memories I have of them, I hold dear to my heart. I hope that you all find your own memories of Dale as a way to find peace in your hearts. He will be with you every day in spirit. My sincere condolences. "

Miss you all, especially you " Pooh ". Love and sympathy to the whole family, Robin Farley Jump."

"Uncle Dale always seemed so happy and care free to me. He was funny, always smiling, a little mischievous and seemed to enjoy life and kids. I remember him drinking Pepsi or Coke all the time, and I was a little envious because the Cantonwines got to drink so much soda. A few times Uncle Pat and Aunt Dale had all of us cousins over to their house for a little something to eat. Often Uncle dale would have some new kind of meat for us to try. I know I had buffalo, opossum and squirrel, or at least that's what Uncle Dale told me. I'm sure he said we had snake once, too. Uncle Dale had the best smile I think I've ever seen--it was bright, wide and sincere. I know we will all miss him, but I also know that we will meet again in the new kingdom of God. We shall meet, and laugh and smile, indeed. "

"Uncle Dale was ornary, sweet, funny but most of all he loved us all! I remember him bringing my Mom to pick me up from elementary school when I had fallen and had a concussion, I got sick and instead of throwing up in his car, Mom emptied her purse so I could use it instead of getting his car messed up. I remember many meals at your house and Uncle Dale putting everything on his plant and then mixing it all up-"that's how it ends up!" he would say----love him and will miss him!"
