Visitation will be Monday, January 20, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, with the memorial service by Pastor Todd Habegger at 4:00 pm. PLEASE, in lieu of flowers, memorials to The Border Patrol Foundation or Scott's daughter's education fund would be appreciated. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.
To Joe ("Pass complete from Schoen to Vandenberg!") and Maria, Cous and Emily, Jake, Brent and Megan and the rest of the group, the Friday up-north fish fry bunch during deer hunting season, Rob's annual fishing trip group, Mike and the patrons at Mikey's Pub up north, Tony from Thirsty's/Bulldog's, Jeff Behrendt -- what stories you'll have to tell his daughters, right??
Scott -- we had you for 30 years and got too comfortable thinking you'd always be with us. We were just getting a glimpse of you as a husband, daddy, loyal and accepting brother, goofy uncle, grandson just a glimpse. Luv Ya Scooter! Mom and Dad

"Every morning I get in my truck to head to work I look at my console and see the time as 426. That number is etched in my mind because it was the unit number of my friend Scott Schoen at border patrol academy. I pray for you and your family every time I see it. You are greatly missed, you were a friend. Talk to you in the morning Scotty, unit 428."

"Scott - as your oldest niece, I miss you and love you very deeply. I will miss all of the fun times we've had together when I was little. I found a picture of us at the old retro Chucky Cheese!! Jordyn looks just like me! We all love you and miss you! You will never be forgotten... "

"I had the honor of working with Scott at the McAllen, Texas Border Patrol Station. In the short amount of time that I knew him, he was always a hard charger, full of energy. I remember once when working with Scott, I asked him "When is your birthday bro?". He told me September 8th. I told Scott, "That's a great day! It also happens to be my birthday although I was born about 15 years earlier than you were". To the Schoen Family, I extend my deepest sympathy for your terrible loss. Scott was so young. He was a great man and fellow agent. He will be greatly missed. My family's prayers are with your family. God Bless your family. "
