"Cheri,Brenda,Brian,Bret, When I first heard about the passing of your husband/father I was devastated! The memories I have working and spending time with your family are irreplaceable!! To this day Fred is by far the greatest person I've ever worked for. Not once in all the time I worked for you all did he ever raise his voice to me and there were occasions he certainly had the right to do so. I'm blessed to have been part of all your lives! Still praying for you all!!"

"As I went through today, I thought about Fred and the whole Buechler family and the countless hours I spent with them in my early teens. Fred was a patient when needed, stern, when needed, and as good of a role model that a young person could very hope for. I have always been thankful for the lessons I learned simply by working for him and watching his dillegence in his daily work. Everything that needed to be done, needed to be done right. May God's love for all his children comfort you always."

"I have many memories of Fred over the past few years. I spent many summers on the farm with Dustin, Nate, and Matt. We got into a lot of things we shouldn't have over those summers and never once did Fred yell at us for using his tools, racing the golf cart down the barn hill until it broke, etc. He would always fix it and have a smile on his face and let us be kids. He will be missed."

Meagan Bowles DeMaster wrote on Jan 28, 2014:

"To the Buechler Family: I am so sorry for the loss of Fred. Having been close to the family since I was a kid, my greatest memory of Fred is that he was the first (and only) person to show me how to milk a cow. I saw a calf being born on the farm and spent a lot of time with Dustin Mueller exploring the barn, picking stones in the field, and trying to catch all the barn kittens. I will always be thankful for my "farm experience" as a kid thanks to Fred and Cheri Buechler. "

"To Cheri, and the Buechler family, When Our family, Barry and Betty Werner, moved from the big city of Port Washington, to an old farm house in Belgium, Fred and Cheri were one of the first friends to welcome us. Our families were "family" ever since. With lots of memories, from the dreaded horse and go cart incident with Fred, to having my first ride in a milk truck with him, picking stones and baling hay and all hopping into the back of his pick up for a trip to dairy queen, babysitting on the farm, and making the mistake of watching a scary movie, Fred just laughed at me when I told him I was sure someone was in the house.( It was just the noise from the milk house equipment.) And for so many more great memories throughout the years, Thank you very much! You are in our hearts and prayers. Maxine, Bill Bowles:"
