Elizabeth(Jagow)Karrels wrote on Feb 10, 2014:

"Aunt Helen was treasured by all of her nieces and nephews. She lived her faith in Christ by how she loved us all and treated others. She taught me to crochet, to love music and singing. She was instrumental in building a bond between all of the cousins. She will be greatly missed, but I know she is now singing and praising the Lord Jesus in heaven. "

Richard Janke wrote on Feb 8, 2014:

"I grew up attending St John's Lutheran Church in Fredonia and remember seeing Helen almost every time we went to church. She was my Sunday School teacher for a long time and was the best teacher I ever had. I will always remember her smile and how much she loved the Lord. She also was the organist at our wedding forty years ago , which is a precious memory. Helen is rejoicing in heaven today. Richard & Karen Janke"

Martha Baese Clark wrote on Feb 5, 2014:

"Helen was the older cousin that every little girl needs. She was always welcoming and gracious and made me feel like I was really special. I remember how Phoebe and I would walk to meet her as she came home for lunch from the canning factory. She seemed so happy to see us. And now I look forward to walking to meet her in eternity. "

"Helen never forgot who she really was and still is. She was baptized into Christ as an infant and made a member of God's family. She was a faithful member of the congregations to which she belonged and she was also very supportive of her siblings and their families. She encouraged them to attend the periodic Jagowville reunions. Family was important to her. She is now at home in heaven. "

"We thank God that Helen has now been transferred from the Church Militant to the Church Triumphant---all by God's grace through faith in Christ Jesus. "Oh, grant that in Thy holy Word We here may live and die dear Lord; And when our journey endeth here, Receive us into glory there." While we weep with Helen's family, "we do not weep as those who have no hope, for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus." 1 Thess. 4, 13-14.
