"Katie, I'm so sorry to hear of Jon's passing. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I had the pleasure of working with Jon at U of M Police. He brought joy and laughter everywhere he went. I'll always remember the night he dispatched officers to the area of Markley and told them to BOL for "The Big Boy on the roof of a small red vehicle" - sure enough, we found it! A wonderful man, father and husband. "

"Katie, some of my fondest memories of you and Jon are when we did the Saturday morning breakfasts together. At first I thought I would dread getting up extra early, especially for a Saturday, to make pancakes before Saturday morning soul-winning. I found, rather quickly, that I looked forward to getting up early because I enjoyed our time of fellowship together as we made bacon/ sausage and pancakes. Jon was always in a good mood and loved to have fun...and make fun! :-) I know he will be greatly missed. Love and prayers for you and the kids, Lori"

"To Katie and family, I don't have to tell you how great a man Jon was. Jonny was my partner in crime for many years while working at the U of M Police Department. We worked the same schedule so we could have a good time while being at work. He made me laugh so much, as I know he has done for you and your family. I will never forget him, and I will always have a great appreciation that he was in my life. I will never forget him. -Michelle Swain "

"Jon and I worked together for campus security at HAC. We also spent time together visiting people in ministry work during our college years. I haven't had the privilege of speaking with him for several years, but I have never forgotten him. He was the type of guy that was always laughing, telling jokes, and being the light of the room. We shared many a laugh together, and now...we all share a tear in memory of our dear friend. Here's to ya Jon. We all miss you. Now go make the angels laugh. "

"The first thing that immediately comes to mind when I think of Jon is his big toothy grin and his awesome ability to get everyone laughing. Anyone could see what an amazing family man he was ... a wonderful husband and father. But what I will always remember is his friendship to my husband. Even across the miles, I know how much it meant to Mike to be able to call Jon just to get his opinion about something that was bothering him and talk it out. We were blessed to call him friend."
