Genevieve Evon (Walker) McCoy, 84, of Cooper City, Florida passed away at her home on Friday, February 21, 2014
Born in Charleston, West Virginia on July 4, 1929, daughter of Earl W. and Edna May (Gunnoe) Walker. Raised and educated in Charleston, Mrs. McCoy worked in the medical field for many years as a nurse assistant.
A resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida since 1964, Genevieve was active with the Cooper City Community Center and a member of New Horizon Methodist Church in Southwest Ranches. She enjoyed attending church, especially the Contemporary Worship Service.
Survived by her two sons, Richard Brent (Barbara) McCoy and Reginald Keith McCoy, granddaughter, Courtney Evon McCoy, sisters, Phyllis Zimmerman, Linda L. Whittington and Pamela Walker. Proceeded in death by her husband, Harold McCoy.
Visitation on Wednesday, February 26th from 6:00 ~ 8:00 P.M. with a funeral service beginning at 7:30 with Pastor Patty Daniels officiating. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
