"I originally met Harry, Faye, and Michelle through Renee, with whom I worked, travelled, and became close friends - starting in 1991 -- to improve hemophilia services in Nevada. My relationship with Harry grew when I would work with Renee at her childhood home in Encino - coincidentally near my home in Sherman Oaks. Harry was always welcoming and warm; our families shared 4th of July and other summer afternoons together. And nice dinners at Louie and Michelle's. My independent friendship with Harry further grew when I began attending services regularly at Temple Bnai Hayim in preparation for my son's Bar Mitzvah. Who knew Harry was also a member! Harry bought my son two dapper vests that he could choose from to wear at his Bar Mitzvah, knowing my son didn't like formal suits. I sat next to Harry for years attending Saturday morning services. We shared many good friendships and good times with Temple members. When Renee died, Harry asked me to give one of her eulogies. I was honored; it was hard but I did it for him and Renee. He loved his daughters deeply. To further honor Renee, I made a short video using family photos that Harry gave me access to. He loved the video, and attended a special event conducted by the National Hemophilia Foundation in which it was featured, to honor her. Harry wanted to make sure that Renee's legacy lived on and I helped Harry send many of Renee's awards to the Hemophilia Treatment Center of Nevada, where they are displayed in the waiting room and library - her legacy lives on. He was a proud and loving father. Harry loved Norma deeply. It was wonderful to see their love for one another. Jim - thank you deeply for being such a good brother to Renee. And a son to Harry. "

"Uncle Harry was my dad;s [Joseph] younger brother. When I was growing up everyone said that I looked more like Uncle Harry than my dad, we all laughed about it. As Jeff Krow has mentioned Harry was the family historian. We will miss him deeply and wish I was well enough to visit him before he passed. I just missed him at Aunt Sarah's hospital room the day before she passed. I will always remember him singing in hebrew at David's Bar Mitzva, he always spoke it fluently in our family, as did they all . I spoke on the phone to him weekly the past couple years and really enjoyed that, we always said we love you to each other at the end of the call. I did get to say goodbye on the Friday before he passed and Jim said he smiled so that made me happy. I am named after their father the rabbi Baruch Micheal Paper which translates to mine Barry Michael Paper may he rest in peace in the hands of God, they are all together again "

"Uncle Harry was my mother's Sarah's brother. She was the youngest and the only female-and Harry, whom she adored-was the next oldest child. Harry was our family historian. I will miss him deeply-.Rest in Peace, Harry Paper!"
