"I have the same memories as Stephanie, except they were when "The Auto Doc" was on 60th & Lincoln when I was 8 years old.
I'll always remember the smile, the chuckling, and the kidding around.
Imagine the hair pulling by OSHA over a service station that let kids hang around. "

"I have not lived in Milwaukee for almost 30 years. My Grandparents live across the street from The Auto Doc shop. Before I moved away, I lived there with my Mother and Grandparents so I would see "Uncle Don" (that's what I called him) and "Uncle Keith" on a daily basis. I would look out of the dining room or kitchen window and wait for him to move a car and I would yell as loud as I could at him and wave until he waived back. I would go hang out over there with them sometimes and they would share their lunch and sodas with me and let me watch them work on cars. Even though it was such a long time ago, those are memories that I will carry with me always! In my more recent years of visiting I have not gotten to see "Uncle Don" but just know that he will always be close to my heart. He was so kind and had a smile that could light up a room! "

"I remember seeing Don once at Mass at St. Matthias. He brought me a calendar from his auto shop. I thought that was very thoughtful of him. Rest in Peace, Don. "
