"May god take good care of Lynn, for she will truly be missed here."
Eternally reunited with her one-and-only true love, Frederick C. Wendt, on July 7, 2014. Lynn was the proud mother of Frederick S. Wendt and Christopher M. Wendt (fiancée Andielynn Ivansthenko). She is further survived by two grandchildren, Jacob and Emily Wendt. Lynn was the loving big sister to Cassandra Noonan (Tom Wendlick).
Lynn prided herself on being a wife, a mother, a sister, and a grandmother. She was a genuine classic. Lynn was a fighter and survivor. True to her generation, Lynn was generous and caring and always thinking of others. Lynn, a single-lung transplant recipient of 2000 at Froedtert Hospital, made the most of her fourteen-year gift of life.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. George Haasler MD, Dr. Kenneth Presberg MD, and Jill Simaras RN, and all other medical personnel at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin who have touched Lynn's life. We are forever grateful.
A Gathering at the Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, will be on Tuesday, July 15, from 4:00 - 6:45 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 PM. Interment will be at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, on Thursday, July 17, at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Froedtert Lung Transplant Program or yesiwillwisconsin.com. Just as Lynn's license plate read, B-A-DONR, the family asks that you become a donor.
"May god take good care of Lynn, for she will truly be missed here."
"Best wishes to Darlynn for a peaceful journey to reunite with your true love Frederick in heaven. It's clear your beautiful soul will be dearly missed.
Deepest Condolences,
Dan and Lindsay Lau and Family"
"I may not know your favorite color, or your favorite love song, but I do know your heart. You have always been a Loving and Generous Soul; a fighter in the face of life's misfortune yet always comforting to others in their misfortunes. You have been a family member, a loving wife and mother and most of all a friend to us all. We will miss your presence while thanking God for his wisdom in rejoining you with the love of your life, "Fred". May your children find comfort in that wisdom.
Till we meet again!"
"Will never forget the family visit we made to Milwaukee and met Lynn and Cassie! The World could use more people like those 2."
"From infancy to adulthood, I will remember Lynn to always be pleasant. We were blessed to have her in the family. In Peace -Darlynn B. Wendt December 18, 1947 - July 7, 2014 "
"Dear family, It is so sad to read that Mrs. Wendt has passed away. May your memories of her as well as a hope of being reunited one day - John 5:28,29 - bring you the peace and comfort you need at this time. "
