Carol Preisler, of Port Washington, passed away surrounded by her loving children Gary, Judy and Michelle in the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Harbor Cove in Port Washington. She was 84 years old. Carol was born in Port Washington on July 1, 1930, daughter of Matthias Keller and Bernice Bradley Keller. She attended school in Port Washington and graduated from Port High with the class of 1948. On July 26, 1952 she married Earl Preisler at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington. He preceded her in death in 2004. Carol worked as a Librarian at the Niederkorn Library in Port Washington and also volunteered in the school library at St. Mary's. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she had also been active with the Christian Women. She had a very strong Catholic faith that helped her through life's ups and downs. Carol was a very talented seamstress and every year for Christmas she made all of her grandchildren flannel pajamas. Above all she loved spending time and spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Dr. Gary (Kathy) Preisler of West Bend, Judy Preisler and Michelle Preisler both of Port Washington. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren: Jacqueline, Valerie, Andrea, Maggie, Danielle, Alex, Miranda, Cayden, McKenzie, Amy, Shawn, Katie and Sarah, two great-grandchildren Grace and William, sister-in-law Gloria Keller of Port Washington, brother-in-law Leo (the late Barbara) of Cable, WI, son Glenn (Lori) Preisler of Port Washington, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl, two infant daughters Jacqueline and Cheryl, two brothers Kenneth Keller, Edward "Sonny" Keller, one sister Laura (the late Edward) Keller Didier and her sister-in-law Pearl (the late Chris) Van Dixhorn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 29th at 6 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington. Father Patrick Wendt will preside. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Earl in St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Washington. Visitation will take place at the Church on Friday, August 29th from 4-6 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to Port Catholic - St. Mary's Campus school library. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is honored to serve the family.
