In loving memory of

Tammy Jo Anderson
March 24, 1967 - August 31, 2014

Tammy Jo Anderson (Gulbrand), 47, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Sunday, August 31, 2014. She was surrounded by her family and friends after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born on March 24, 1967 to Ellery and Karen Gulbrand in Green Bay and grew up in Howard, Wisconsin. Tammy was raised and educated in her Christian faith beginning with her baptism at St. Mark Ev. Lutheran Church. She also attended Fox Valley Lutheran High School in Appleton and Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, WI. Tammy was currently a member at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Suamico.
She always said her favorite job was her job at the Christian Book Shop; she loved the owners, Bernie and Kappie Murray. Tammy also worked for many years at PCM Credit Union in Ashwaubenon until she could no longer work.
After agreeing to go on what she said was going to be "my last blind date ever" she met and later married the love of her life Todd Anderson on May 24, 2003. They went on to adopt their first son Dane Evan in December 2004, followed by Caleb Ellery in July 2007. Tammy loved all three of "her boys" with all of her heart as she demonstrated every day. Tammy was a strong Christian woman who showed and shared her faith daily in not only her words, but also and more importantly in her actions. (She always worried about everyone else before herself.) Even in the hardest times of her battle, her faith NEVER waivered. She inspired so many with her faith. We will miss all of her "lists" and calls "just to check" if everyone is ok.
Tammy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Irene and Erwin Gulbrand and her maternal grandparents, Viggo and Evelyn Madsen and Emily Singer.
Tammy is survived by her loving husband, Todd; her two sons, Dane and Caleb as well as her loyal "furry baby", Daphne; her parents, Ellery and Karen Gulbrand; sister, Tracey (Neil) Brown; brother, Tim (Mari Jo) Gulbrand; nieces, Heather, Hailey, and Kyra Brown; nephews, Aric Brown, Bryton Gulbrand, and Jaryd Bott. She is further survived by Bette and Steve Anderson, Marty (Tara) Anderson, and their children Eli and soon to be baby Anderson, Jill (Chad) Erickson and their children, Logan Eckes and Shelby Erickson.
Visitation will be held at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 4 until 8 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Mt. Olive Ev. Lutheran Church, 2460 Mt. Olive Drive, Suamico, from 10 am until the funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Brad Snyder officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Suamico. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jonathan Tammela and Tammy's "Chemo Girls", especially Tina, Risa, Kristin, Martha and Sara; you are all awesome, special human beings. Thank you to the staff of Unity Hospice home care and resident care, especially Liz and Heather. Everyone was wonderful and had a gentle way of leading us all through this terribly difficult journey. A special thank you to Brenda Georgia, Tanya Vincent, Tricia MacDonald and the whole Magy Lane Neighborhood for all of their support for the boys and Todd, especially the last 18 months, the Bay Harbor Elementary School Community and Pastor Snyder from Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Also, thank you to everyone who sat with, thought of, prayed for, shared a story with Tammy or her family; all of your love and thoughtfulness is very much appreciated.
In lieu of flowers, an educational fund has been set up for Dane and Caleb at PCM Credit Union. 601 Willard Drive, Ashwaubenon, WI 54324-0500 or www.pcmcu.com.

All my love, Suzy Snyder Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes; Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies; Heav'n's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows flee; In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me."

"Dear Gulbrand and Anderson families - May our deepest sympathies be with you during this most difficult time. I just recently learned of Tammys brave fight. Not long ago I reconnected with her and Tracey on Facebook. As she posted about her journey throughout her illness there is no doubt she possessed amazing faith and strength along with a self-less disposition. Many years have gone by since we last met but I have great memories of Tammy as a grade school mate, fellow cheerleader, and friend. I will never forget her happy eyes and beaming smile. On behalf of the Carr family - Our thoughts and prayers are with you. "

"With great sorrow we wonder why God would take Tammi before what we consider "her time", but it's in God's time and she will make a home for all the family to join in "their time" of going home. God's strength be with you in your time of sorrow."

"I am very sorry for the recent loss of your loved one, Tammy Jo Anderson. I have a brief encouraging message I would like to share with you from God's Word, the Bible. The Bible can be a great source of both comfort & hope during this most difficult time in your lives. For one example, at Revelation 21:3-5 it assures us that the day is soon coming when our most loving Heavenly Father is going to wipe away the tears of sorrow from our eyes forever and that even pain & death will be no more. I hope after reading this it will be of some comfort to each one of you. If later you would like to learn more from the Bible about why we die or why does a loving God allow so much suffering g & injustice, please feel free to go to the website: www.jw.org to find very satisfying answers."

"Dear Karen and Ellery, Perhaps you will remember us from our square dance days (Karen, you made me a couple SD skirts). Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. We can empathize with you as we lost our 44 yr old son 6 years ago from a brain aneurysm and he had 4 young children. I loved the part in Tammy's obituary stating she never lost her faith, through all the suffering. May God provide all the strength you need at this very sad time. "

"Please accept my sincere sympathy on the recent loss of your dear loved one. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May the God of comfort be with you in this time of sorrow. May these words bring you hope, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:4) This promise will be fulfilled one day, until then, may all your memories sustain you in the days to come.
