"I was 18. Had just graduated from Heelan and got a job with the Dakota County AFC. Ed was a coworker and we became good friends in spite of our age difference. His laughter and welcoming nature, his strong work ethic, his sense of right and wrong, the way he treated others and his love of family, the fun we had along with the hard work we shared, were tremendous lessons for a young kid. He was a good role model like so many great men in my world in those days. I went off to college that next January and never saw him again, but never forgot what a good man he was. About a year ago, at a church function, I saw a vaguely familiar face and asked a friend who it was. It was Ed! We had a really good visit! He was still the very good man that I knew and liked so many years ago! Thanks, my friend. Rest in peace! "

"I am so sorry to hear about Edmund! Your family has my condolences. Edmund was always friendly and was a "never met a stranger" type of person. I loved watching him dance, especially the polka---they just glided around the floor. He also had a wonderful smile and thought the world of his family. He will be missed."
