Sharon Lynn Snider
October 2, 1950 - January 31, 2015

Mrs. Sharon Lynn Snider, 64, of West Burlington died Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born October 2, 1950 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Henry and Jeanette (Erickson) Von Ende.
On April 1, 1988 she married Richard "Dick" Snider at First Presbyterian Church in Burlington.
Mrs. Snider was a 1969 graduate of Burlington High School. During her school years she was a waitress at her father's restaurant. After high school she worked at J.S. Schramm's as an associate and modeled wedding dresses. Sharon also worked at Klein Center as a CNA and for many years was the executive housekeeper at Pzazz.
Sharon was an accomplished seamstress and was very talented in home remodeling. She loved to read books, listened to the Beatles and 60s - 90s Rock. She loved and cared for all, especially her family; her cat, Maddy and her Labradors Ellie, Maggie and Buddy.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Richard; two sons, Jeremy (Jessie) Starman of Westerville, Ohio and Andrew (Colena) Snider of Deerfield, Florida; two grandsons, Landon Starman and Andy Snider; one granddaughter, Staci Meyer; one sister, Nancy Reighard of Burlington; one brother, Jim Von Ende of Iowa City; her mother-in-law, Jane Snider of Burlington; brother-in-law, Robert Snider of Burlington and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Friday, February 6th, at Lunning Chapel.
Memorials have been established for Great River Hospice and her grandchildren's education.
Cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel.

"I am so sorry to hear of Sharon's passing...at first I didn't recognize the name until I took a closer look at her picture and remembered her as Sharon Starman...as she was once married to my Aunt Carol Starman Burk's brother.....we worked together at Klein unit ...she was fun to be around, I had gone to her house several times to sit and chat...sending prayers of comfort to ease the pain and sorrow.."

"She was not only my Aunt Sharon! She truly was one amazing beautiful woman! How we could just laugh and laugh! You made me love the Beatles! Putting Grandpa's socks over our eyes when it stormed! Growing up you really took good care of Allison and myself! Then you had that handsome baby boy who was your world! But you still made time for me! Singing to foot loose going to see Allison! SCC basketball games, road trips! We did some much together! I Will cherish the memories you will be in our hearts forever! You were so loved! Then you met Dick I hooked you up he loved you so much! Oh, Sharon your Grandchildren our precious Land on was going to play a Beatle song on his guitar! Jessie kept us all calm Staci flew back! Scottie and Sarah sure loved you! You nurtured us all!!
