"I have so many wonderful memories of Mrs. Dunn ... her picking out library books for me that she thought I'd like, driving Quen and me (and a carload of other kids) to band functions or literary meets, reconnecting with her wonderful family through the years during holidays and, most recently, seeing her smiling face when she came to my book-signing in Columbus, Georgia about three years ago. My heart just flooded with love and appreciation to know that she was cheering me on, as she had done throughout my life. She was always so calm, steady, loving and supportive. And of course, she was the matriarch of one of the finest families I have ever known. All my love and prayers are with the Dunns."
