Mr. Cole C. "Catfish" Cummings, 38 of Medora died Friday, February 20, 2015.
He was born August 27, 1976 to Randal Cummings and Elverna (Johnson) Cummings in Lawrence County, Indiana. Cole was a 1994 graduate of Brownstown Central High School and also graduated in 2010 from Harrison College with a degree in accounting. He was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church, he coached summer league baseball, all-star baseball and his son, Deven's, basketball team. He loved spending time with all his kids and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his parents, his step mother, Alice Cummings, his fiancé, Tausha Lequire, his children, Deven and Lannah Cummings and Jacobi and Ashton Owens, a sister, Amanda Linville, a step brother, Brian Lehnert, a step sister, Brenda Wiedner, his paternal grandmother, Margie Cummings, his maternal grandmother, Georgia Johnson Hoaks, several aunts, uncles and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Eugene Cummings and Warren Johnson and a step grandfather, John Hoaks.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 24 at Mt. Zion Methodist Church at 1:00 PM with Jack Suits officiating.
Friends may call on Monday, February, 23 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Voss Chapel and from 12:00 to the time of the funeral on Tuesday at Mt. Zion Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the family.
