"Stacey,Deb,and Denise I would like to extend my Deepest Sympathies to you 3 Girls and your Families.I have been a very close Friend of your Dad since 1962 at which time I started working for him in the Grocery store in Fontanelle. I worked for him tell I joined the service in 1968. Gary and I had many good times working together and years after lots of good times ,Gary was one of the God Parents to my son who was Batized in the Lutheran Church in Fontanelle . I had lost touch with Gary in the last three to five years .In 1975 I and my wife moved to North English,Ia and I continued to work in the Grocery industry ,in 1980 I purchased a grocery store and ran it until April 2007 at which time I sold it and retired. If it wasn't for Gary Bochart who took me in and taught me the business and how to cut meat and take special care of my customers I would not have become a successful Businessman. Gary treated me like a Son and I often thought of him as a second Dad, If any of you 3 Girls would ever get to South East Iowa I would very much like to meet you and your Families. I and my Wife live in Rural country near South English Ia. Due to prior commentments we will not be able to attend the services for Gary.
