Ezra "Junior" Clark
July 18, 1944 - May 17, 2015

Ezra "Junior" Clark, 70, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away on Sunday morning, May 17, 2015, at the Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa, Iowa.

A celebration of "Junior's" life will be held at 1:30 P.M., Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Burial will be in the Streets Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, Iowa.

Ezra Junior Clark was born on July 18, 1944 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Henry Harlan and Helen Bell (Manning) Clark. He was educated in Maquoketa Schools and served his country in the U.S. Army until receiving an honorable discharge. He married Paula Howell in 1970 in Maquoketa, Iowa. They later divorced after 24 years.

"Junior" had been employed at Clinton Engines in Maquoketa for a short time. He then farmed, and worked various jobs including building pole barns and working for Anamosa Silos, retiring in 1987.

"Junior" enjoyed watching NASCAR, following his kids events, feeding the birds and squirrels, and listening to country music.

Those left to honor "Junior's" memory include his children, Danny Clark of Maquoketa, IA, Annette (Larry) Radtke of Maquoketa, IA, Todd Clark of Maquoketa, IA, and Everett (Kim) Clark of Dubuque, IA; 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lucky (Mary K.) Clark of Maquoketa, IA, Martin Clark of Manchester, IA, Randy Clark of Maquoketa, IA, Alvin (Karen) Clark of Monmouth, IA, and Marvin (Jessica) Clark of DeWitt, IA; and sisters, Marilyn (Jeff) Grekoff of Maquoketa, IA, and Ellen (Steve) DeMoss of Sabula, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife Paula, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, an Ezra "Junior" Clark memorial fund has been established.

"My grandpa was Ezria Clark, my dad was Albert Wayne (Rooster) Clark. i have brothers and sisters that were raised in Canton. My brother James Kendall Clark lives in Wyoming Iowa. I am 61 years old and I do remember my dad speaking of "Junior" I am so sorry for your loss. my dad passed away about 20 years ago he was 62 years old."

"I read Ezra's Death notice in the CR Gazette and read obituary on the Internet. I served with Esra briefly in basic training in May/June 1965 at Fort LeonardWood, Missouri.I have not been in touch with him since, however I remember him telling me that he was from Maquoketa.I have lived on a farm south of Homestead all my life.
