WAUNAKEE-Beverly "Bev" Marie Bischoff Statz, age 81, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015, with her family by her side. She was born in Madison on March 2, 1934, to Herman and Mabel (Penn) Bischoff. Bev married Thomas "Tom" Statz on August 4, 1960, and together they raised seven children. She and Tom also operated the Hofbrau Haus in Waunakee. She loved to cook and bake for her family always serving meals on her favorite china. She passed down many of her recipes to her kids and grandkids. When she was not riding dirt bikes with her young children, Bev also enjoyed sewing, playing cards, and polka dancing. She was very proud of all of her children. Thanks for setting the standard, mom.
