Patricia E. Murphy-Medlin

Mrs. Patty Murphy-Medlin, of Port Washington, passed away June 17, 2015 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton due to heart surgery complications. She was 60 years old. Patty was born March 10, 1955 in Waukesha, the daughter of Roger and Frances (nee Morton) Murphy. She graduated from Menomonee Falls East High School in 1973. For 14 years, Patty worked as a para-professional through the Port Washington-Saukville School District. On July 5, 2009 she was united in marriage with Michael Medlin Jr. in Plymouth.

Patty was a member of Open Door Bible Church in Port Washington, and volunteered at the Ozaukee Humane Society. She was proud of her Irish heritage, enjoyed antiques, history, cooking, genealogy, vintage cars, NASCAR, and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia. Patty loved animals, especially her dog Louis and cats Mr. Jones, Robert and Angel.

Patty is survived by her husband Michael of Port Washington and her two daughters: Rebecca Holz of Saukville and Hannah Holz of Port Washington. She is further survived by her sister Kathy Murphy of TX, brother Terry (Debbie) Murphy of Elm Grove and Tom Murphy of UT, cousin and dear friend Mary Cheslik-Smith, former spouse Jeffrey Holz, former step-children Brenda Patel, John Holz and Kimber Wiedmeyer, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Roger Murphy and Frances (Roy) Flath.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6 PM on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Open Door Bible Church, 3420 County Hwy LL in Port Washington. Pastor Sid Litke will officiate. The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday evening from 3-6PM.
