"I have had the honor of working with Howard for almost 38 years. Our controller said it well, Howard was a 'Teddy Bear'. No one was harder working, cared more about the customer, or was more cooperative than Howard. I always enjoyed those periodic occasions when I was working on a Saturday morning and Howard would stop by and enjoy a cup of coffee and some friendly conversation. Those conversations always included him talking about his family and his pride in his children. We will miss Howard as an employee but even more as a fine man. "
"prayers and condolences for the family,"

"I'm sorry to hear the sad news of Howard's passing-He was a friend of mine when we were growing up and we would work together a lot at his uncle Harold's farm. I also was a classmate to Paula his sister. I enjoyed being with Howard and always had fun. I want to comfort you and your family on the loss of Someone You Loved and Eternal rest grant unto Him. May God give your family the strength and courage to get through this very difficult time. With Deepest Sympathy- Don and Helen McCluskey- Indianapolis, In."
