"Dear Mrs. William Lansing, Leonard, Nate, Phillip, Beth, and families, I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss. It was such a treat to see Bill last January when he made the effort to come down for the ROVA Hall of Fame ceremony and get-togethers. Having not seen him for many years I was pleased to find that his vibrant personality had not changed at all since his high school days when he was one of the best teammates and friends anyone could ever hope to have. He had many outstanding moments as an athlete but I will always remember the pass he caught against Aledo (when he finally got the chance to play end for a few plays) and the game winning field goal he kicked at Galva. Please accept my deepest condolences."

"On behalf of ADM Cocoa Dear Denise and family We are very sorry for your loss. Bill was a great colleague and friend to many of us. He looked out for his colleagues, his teams and his customers. His customers appreciated him greatly, and he served them well and with his professional manner, from the office...and on the golf course. Bill looked for the positive side in everything, the silver lining, and this positive attitude and contribution were reflected in his work and his interactions with us all. We will miss him. With our deepest condolences. "
