Julie Glaser, 51, of Webster City, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 8, 2015 at her home in Webster City. A Celebration of Life open house will be held at her home in Bettendorf on Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 4p.m. to 8p.m.
Julie Kay Sparrow was born on February 28, 1964 in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Dean and Donna (Allensworth) Sparrow. The family moved to Hampton, IL in 1978. Julie graduated from United Township High School and attended AIC in Davenport. She met Dennis Glaser at a friend's wedding in 1989 and the couple was married on August 28, 1990 in Davenport. Julie gave birth to their daughter Samantha in 1991. She was a wonderful stay at home mom for many years before rejoining the working community at K&K True Value for over 10 years while Samantha started school. In 2007 she returned to her biggest joy of being a stay at home mom. She loved and was devoted to her dogs, Abbie and Elle. Julie loved children and was a loving and supportive wife. She impacted everyone she came in contact with.
She is survived by her husband Dennis of Webster City; daughter, Samantha of Bettendorf; parents, Dean and Donna Sparrow of Hampton, IL; sisters, JoNita Mitchel of Silvis, IL and Jeanette Allison Glaser of Bettendorf; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Carol Glaser of Bettendorf.
Donations to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association can be made in her memory.
