Dallas Dean Dohlman
June 29, 1930 - August 9, 2015

Dallas Dean Dohlman, 85, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015, at his home in Hampton. He was born on June 29, 1930, in rural Franklin County, Iowa, to John and Bertha (Wiener) Dohlman. Dallas attended Hampton High School. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Dallas was united in marriage to Lois Schreuder on July 22, 1953; she preceded him in death. He then married Bonnie (Hamilton) Richards in October of 1994; she also preceded him in death. Dallas farmed until he retired. After retirement he worked for Lynch Livestock for seventeen years and then for Liqui-Grow until 2013. Dallas was a former member of the Hansell United Methodist Church and a present member of the West Fork United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Dumont American Legion. Dallas enjoyed square dancing, riding motorcycles, collecting scale model cars, visiting with anyone, telling stories and being with his dog Roxie. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. Dallas is survived by his children Carole (Jon) Robertson of Hampton, Jan (Jim) Cormier of Colleyville, Texas, Sandy Johnson (Steve Sorenson) of Osage, Kay (Randy) Marquard of Hudson, Doug (Doreen) Dohlman of Sheffield and Diane Dohlman of Sheffield, grandchildren Nate (Haley) Robertson, Kristin (Ryan) Amman, Ryan (Lexie) Cormier, Rachel (Andrew) Doster, Hillary Marquard, Erin Dohlman, Elisa Dohlman, Lauren Dohlman, Taylor Greimann and Zach Greimann, step-grandchildren Amy Sorenson and Emily Sorenson, great-grandchildren Brody Robertson and Archer Robertson, sister Helen O'Dea, sister-in-law Alice Dohlman, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Bertha, wives Lois and Bonnie, grandson Cory Robertson, step-grandson Nick Sorenson, two brothers and six sisters.

Burial will take place in the Hampton Cemetery.
